REMUNERATION POLICY

Pamoja Child Foundation has had a Dutch board since its inception. This board does not receive any compensation for its activities for the foundation and is fully voluntary. A driver traveling to Kenya can receive an expense allowance if required. This takes place on average once a year, for 1 driver.  

The organization in Kenya consists of 5 paid employees and a number of volunteers and interns. The paid employees receive very modest salaries, in accordance with the local guidelines for non-profit organizations. The volunteers and interns receive no compensation for their work. Pamoja Child Foundation motivates its employees and volunteers by making a small contribution to training and courses and by having them regularly participate in training and workshops. For more information about costs in Kenya, please download the Annual Reports here.

STRATEGY 2019-2024

The 5 main goals of Pamoja Child Foundation from the Strategy 2019-2024 are:

1. 20 underprivileged young people are enabled to complete their secondary, higher and university education.

2. At 31 primary schools, we are working in 2 locations to improve the quality of primary education through a) improved learning environment b) increased management capacity c) well-trained teachers d) increased student performance and e) increased involvement of parents and community in the education.

3. In partnership with VI Agroforestry, we are strengthening the capacity of local groups in the areas of gender, children’s rights, leadership, sex education, nature conservation and income.

4. Strengthen Pamoja’s capacity as a local training center with expertise in gender, children’s rights, child protection, participatory teaching methods, resource mobilization etc. 

5. Improved local fundraising and localization governance.
